BOD Updates on Pending Projects:

Parking:

Goals:

      1.    Create temporary parking plan. Monitor parking patterns. Temporary suspend towing except where vehicles are blocking residential entry. Status: COMPLETED December 2024. See temporary parking plan here. 

      2.    Register all vehicles in Courtyard on new website Status: in progress. 44% registered. Completion deadline: February 2025

      3.    Negotiate with Weston Public Library to allow for overnight parking. Status: in Progress

      4.    Create a permanent parking plan that benefits residents and  limits parking enforcement costs and towing while maintaining the community curb appeal. Conduct poll of residents before finalizing plan. Status: in progress. Targeted completion date: end of March 2025.

Safety & Security:

Goals:

      1.    Open school crossing gates to allow students ease of access to and from school and eliminating costs of repairing damaged gates. Status: COMPLETED January 2025. See Ribbon cutting for opening of the gates.

      2.    Monitor school traffic, work with city officials, police and volunteers to provide traffic control and school drop off and pick up times. STATUS in progress. Targeted completion date Volunteers in place: by the end of February.

      3.    Return security patrol at targeted limited hours. Evaluate security companies and proposals and select vendor. Status: in process reviewing proposals which will be on the agenda to put to

Vote at the March BOD meeting.  See security proposals here 

      4.    Trap gate: finalize install of trap gate to prevent tailgating. Status: pending one permit. Will continue to follow up with the CITY. Target for completion: by the end of February 2025.

Maintenance:

Goals:

      1.    Remove rust in the community to improve curb appeal. Status: rust proposals have been submitted pending community comment and board approval. See proposals here 

      2.    Resolve issue of pet debris and rodents. STATUS rodent inspection was completed in January. No poison was discovered at the time of the inspection. Proposal submitted to install rodent traps. This is the responsibility of the homeowners to install and maintain.  See rodent trap installation quote here. Install more dog poo bag receptacles. Report (identify) and fine repeat offenders for not picking up after their pets.

      3.    Conduct monthly walk through a to identify and fix maintenance issues throughout the community. Status: next walk through is on Saturday February 1, need volunteers to walkthrough the neighborhood and create a list of maintenance items. Sign up to volunteer here. Goal is to complete the maintenance items identified on February 1 by the end of February 2025 etc for the remainder of the year.

      4.    Aging roofs: evaluate various roofing vendors to provide a group rate to residents for roof repairs expected due to aging roofs.
